Trying something new; nothing better then diving into a new fandom.  First time writing these characters, but I've been watching the show like crazy lately and needed to get it out.  Basically put my iTunes on random and drew inspiration from the songs that it chose for me. Each part can be read alone, though they are connected.  Basically a load ( Read more... )

1. Welcome to the fandom!

2. nothing better then diving into a new fandom.

I've only been a fan of the show and this pairing for 12 months and yet it feels like much longer (especially in light of S4 .:myesisbitter:. ), and that's part of why I loved these. Because they reminded me of the exact fresh feeling of giddiness and enthusiasm I had for them last March and for months after, and I miss that 'atmosphere', if it makes any sense. Not to mention how absolutely perfect they are for Sunday morning! ;)

3. My fave parts:

Reid with the sun shining down on him, illuminating his face. Like the afterglow of a good fuck. His forehead glistened; he saw me staring, expecting.

At night I think about the things we could make. The dates and times we could celebrate. Eight months, two weeks, five days and three hours. The places we’d go. Offices, plane seats, hotel rooms, showers, the Italian restaurant down the street and the diner near the Bureau.

There was little you could do to make me stop loving you.

“Five more minutes. Isn’t it Saturday?”

“No, Tuesday. It’s nearly 7.”

“You know sometimes I hate you.”

“Such a strong choice of words, Spencer.”

“Fuck you.”

“Excuse me?”

“Aaron, you heard me.”

“I did, but I’m not sure why I deserve that and the tone of yours.”

“You weren’t the one digging a grave with a shitty, rusty shovel. You weren’t the one staring down the barrel of a gun hoping your calculations regarding probability weren’t wrong. You weren’t hoping the odds were in your favor with each empty click.”

“No, I was the one watching with my mouth open, staring at the person I loved more than anything--though I wouldn’t admit it at the time. You weren’t the one trying to figure out where he took you, trying to see the extent of your wounds. You weren’t the only one affected that night.”

“Why are you scared.”

“I don’t want to lose my job. This and you are all I have; I don’t know anything besides you two.”

I thought I had you all to myself.”

“I thought I was your escape.”

He resisted the urge to reach over and hold Reid’s hand, even if the team was focused on evidence and case files.

It took a total of three minutes for Reid to show up at Hotch’s door tooth brush and tomorrow’s clothes in his arms.

“It’d be cheaper to come out to them.”

“Not now.”

“I didn’t mean it that way; it was a joke... You know I love sneaking around and keeping secrets more than anyone. I like the mystery behind the two of us. I like wondering if they know.”

“They are profilers.” Hotch smiled before placing a small kiss on the other man’s cheek.

Watched the rise and fall of his chest, and the way the hair hanging in front of his nose was being blown about with each breath.

“If I hadn’t shown up at your doorstep.”

“Who would have thought...”

“Hey! I’m brave sometimes.”

“I know. You’re one of the bravest people I know.”

“You know I love you.”

“Those words are never said to little.”

Garcia noticed the pair and gave them a warm smile, one both of them returned.

“Hotch is in a good mood today.” Morgan patted his boss on the back before sitting at his desk.

“I have a lot to be happy about.” He looked down at Reid one last time before retreating to his desk.

That made two people who knew. Two people, two years. Reid liked the idea of staying together for five years. But that only included the team; there were plenty more people he could think of telling.

“I see you all day.”

“We both know it’s not the same.”

“I find it attractive the way you speed through those reports, your brow furrowed in concentration.”
