Music post o' the day - Tuesday
This one has been a favourite for years. Like a lot of my music, I ran into it off of a fan vid for QAF and just loved it. It's been a song I put on when I'm in a sway kinda mood. The music is very calm and beautiful, but when you listen to the lyrics, it's about gay killings, reactions to them and knowing who really has your back and who doesn't.
The lyrics are really rich with metaphors as well, which makes the writer in me squee. That life is a long taxi ride and the people you lose along the way are the lights missing. This song is just pretty much perfect to me. Love it to pieces and play it on repeat very often when I just need to zen out for a bit.
