I could have been there. That could have been me. It's quite tragic really; another missed opportunity.
Yes indeedy. It's another FREE MP3 post for your pleasure and stuff. Here we go. It's under a cut this week. I feel like being nice. But, there's only four of 'em this week. Sorry.
Once again, these are YSI links. No guarantee how long they'll be up or when they'll go down. If you catch the last download, mark it. Thanks.
Matthew Good Band- Prime Time Deliverance. Ali, this is about suicide, isn't it? What's on your mind? Shut up. That's not the only thing the song is about. Lyrically brilliant, strikingly relevant, and a lot of other big, misspelled words. I guess what I mean is, I love this song. And I hope you guys do, too.
Matthew Good and Dave Genn- Apparitions (acoustic) Ok, what is it with all the Matthew Good? Put this song on. Go lay on your cold kitchen floor, in the dark, alone. Tell me what you feel. This one is mostly for Sarah.
Ray LaMontagne- Burn Geez Ali, you're feeding us a bunch of bummers this week. What's up with that? Another one of those relevent ditties. Again, this one is mostly for Sarah.
MC Hawking- All My Shootings Be Drive-Bys Ali, what the hell is it with you and science geeks in wheelchairs? Well, there's only the one. Stephen Hawking dies 14 times a week. His ventilator gets disconnected as he's being moved, and he stops breathing and goes into a-fib. Ok, so he's not totally dead when it happens, but it's still bizarre. Here's our favorite physicist wheeling himself into some kind of wormhole and coming out as a GANGSTA RAPPER on the other side. Featuring the line, I'm busting more shit than an incontinent man at a chili cook-off. This was sent to me a few years back by the super fantastic
boyscoutb, aka Brad Taylor.
In other news, it's 4:30 and I'm still awake.
