Stuff?!

Oh, the debate.
I'm so happy every time someone names a specific plan they have... I just really like hearing their specifics, rather than "well I'm going to fix this country by fixing this country."
Of course it doesn't hurt that that's mostly Obama. And I tend to agree with his plans more. I was disappointed to read that he was exaggerating about his spending cuts exceeding spending increases. (According to the AJC, he has only mentioned very specific cuts and they don't match the increase) But his health care plan is also good. And McCain lies about 1000x more things... Well I've known who I wanted to vote for since the primary, I'm just glad to have it confirmed every debate.

Comic books! Pat lent me 10lbs of comic books. I've read 6 so far.
West Coast Avengers vol 2 no 15: Iron Man looks weird. Pretty excellent issue though. There's a bunch of "you kept this secret???" and "I'm conflicted!" and fun character stuff all over. Plus a giant fight scene at the end and a cool villain (Master Pandemonium) although they're teamed up for most of the comic... IN HELL.
Of course the best part is the Lazer Tag ad.
In conclusion: 1986

Batgirl 20: Fun stylized art (Damion Scott-pencils, Robert Campanella-inks). Good stand-alone story.  Why can't Batgirl read? It looks like she was raised by wolves or something.

Captain America vol 4 no 16: I hate this colorist :( Namor is a J. Not really, I used that wrong. Cap is a J? Anyway it's all a lame dream sequence. Also: Tobacco is whacko!

Earth X no 4: WHAT IS GOING ON. But the inside art is fucking amazing. I'm pretty sure this guy drew Sandman for a while? John Paul Leon-pencils, Bill Reinhold-inks
I really want to get the rest of this actually.

Rune Vs. Venom no 1: Ugh... Venom's so gross. And it's hard to follow two identical characters in a fight. But overall enjoyable? Many heads were eaten.

Batman no 604: Hooray for Batman and hooray for cel-shading! Sorry, I'm thinking about art right now. I really like Batman taking like 10 shots point-blank for this mob guy. It's so Batman-y. Then he had a big conversation with Catwoman about how Batman-y that is which was excellent. I like her. Anyway this seems to be in the middle of this one storyline which I got the first issue of for 10 cents in the distant past, so that's fun. Also: Tobacco is still whacko and corn is still nuts!My grandma is visiting so that's fun. I <3 her.
