I realized today at lunch that introducing unsuspecting victims to the joys of tom kha is one of my new favorite things in the world. All three of my lunchmates perked up so suddenly with such looks of shocked and astonished pleasure that I almost thought I'd be able to convince them to join me in song and dance. (Tell me, is there anyone out there who honestly doesn't fight the urge to break into tap dancing and sonnets halfway through a bowl of coconutlemongrasstofubliss??) The next time I throw a party, I'm going to make up huge vats of this stuff!
