[ it's the wee hours of the morning on wednesday and there are things that have to be done. problems that have to be confronted. a race that has to be won. buffy is sick of staying inside and playing the defensive. she learned, long ago, to confront the demons and that is what she wants to do.

so, under a filter, buffy scribbles a message to grell sutcliffe: ]

You and me need to have some words. New Feather Watch Station, south west of the village. I'll leave my blade at home if you leave yours.

[ this is to be a negotiation, then. buffy has had enough blood on her over the past few days. the novelty has once again worn off. ]

[So they were coming for her? And so soon. Well, it isn't like she isn't surprised. Leaving blades at home, however? Not her style.

Still, it isn't as if anyone can see her death scythe, so what's the harm in playing along?]

[ buffy stands by the station once she arrives -- visibly unarmed, but certainly not happy. she has no way to tell for certain that grell was the one who attacked archie; however, she can have her doubts. and even without those doubts, this moment had to happen.

[She doesn't seem armed and so Grell leaves her hiding place, landing first on the roof of the watch station to look down at Buffy.]

[Well. This is unexpected. It takes Grell some time before she hits the reply button because she wants to make sure her first words to him are...appropriate.]

Well, isn't this a surprise. Archie. [Said as a greeting] What could you possibly have to say to me?

[Early morning... Grell is probably still getting dressed when there's a loud scream in the otherwise silent manor. Coming from Lizzie's room.

Grell was up and had almost finished dressing when the scream came. In an instant, she was racing across the mansion and just a minute or so after the scream was first heard, Grell was throwing Lizzie's door open.]

Elizabeth! What's happened?!

[Inside, Grell will find... Nothing. No one. Just as empty as it has been for the past days while Lizzie was kidnapped. However it's not as silent.]

Miss Grell! I can't... I can't see myself!

[Lizzie sound terrified but... She's nowhere to be seen? Grell may feel her, though, as she hugs the other scared.

Yup, Lizzie is invisible.]

[Where...the what...in the...uh...... Grell stops at the door, wondering if she's just hearing things when something - or really someone - hugs her suddenly.]

[ tea. tea with his new housemate, this seemed like a good idea. Glitch has dressed properly for the occasion: coat (a new one, all brocade and brass buttons), waistcoat, cravat, he's even made a - mostly failed - attempt to tame his hair.

[And in comes Grell in a flurry of red, bursting through the doors because she wasn't exactly expecting a new person in the house. She's got her hair up and is wearing her usual clothes with the addition of rose corsages on the vest lapel.]

Oh, you would not believe the day I--

[Grell raises an eyebrow staring at the stranger. Where has she seen him before? She points.]

...You. What are you doing?

[ oh hey, a ...person! Glitch blinks. mouth dropping open a moment as he scrables for the best response, then he bobs his head. ]

I I I came over-- Miss Elizabeth had invited me over for tea, b-but it turns out she's presently indisposed. Um. She said it would be all right if I stayed, though, so I could meet...

...you, I think? You're Miss Grell? [ polite, hopeful little smile :D? ]

[Oh. That man. The one Lizzie mentioned. The one she has to be...ugh, nice to. At least he knows how to dress.

Grell sighs and then puts on a pleasant smile, curtseying to be polite since he at least used the right honorific.]
