I have this tingling sensation down my spine that something is about to happen. Call it a woman's intuition, but I do hope you're all...careful in the upcoming days, hm? Wouldn't want any terrible accidents to befall any of you now would we ( Read more... )

Chainsaw...

[Riiiight, and people look at him odd for carrying a bat. Figures.]

Does it have to be red and gold? Won't any other suffice?

It must be mine, yes. Any other won't have the same...feel to it.

Oh, okay. I'll keep an eye for it, I don't think many chainsaws will happen to be red and gold, right?

[He laughs.]

She's customized to fit me and only me - so I don't recommend trying to lift her. My baby can be a bit...testy towards others.

But thank you ever so much. Might I get your name?

Ah?

[The chainsaw can be testy? What? Is it alive or what?]

Ooookay, then I'll just call you through the journals if I see it. And not touch it at all.

Ah, my name's Keiichi Maebara. What's yours?

[No, Grell's just crazy about people touching his scythe. :( ]

That would be best.

A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Keiichi. My name is Grell Sutcliffe.

Grell-san would it be?

Nice to meet you too, mind if I ask you where are you from?

Indeed it would be.

I hail from London. I assume you're from Japan, hm? Which part?

breaks_destiny March 23 2010, 15:29:28 UTC
London? Ah, so we're from a similar world!

Or at least one with the same places. [Laughs.]

I'm from a small village in Japan, it's called Hinamizawa, not very far from Okinomiya... Neither of the places are very well known even in Japan itself, though.

So we are. Have you ever visited my city? I'm afraid I'm far too busy to take a holiday to yours.

Unfortunately I haven't visited yours either, in fact I haven't been to many places even in Japan itself. School doesn't leave much free time to go around traveling, and my parents wouldn't let me cross the ocean to go to London alone.

How is it exactly? The most I've ever seen has been in a few movies, but I doubt they are actually very accurate or realistic.

Ahn, a young one then? Yes, perhaps you should stay at home. London is such a dangerous place sometimes.

I rather love it though - must love it, seeing how I'm stuck there. As for how it is? That would depend on what moving pictures you've seen, dear. London changes with the ages.

breaks_destiny March 25 2010, 16:43:13 UTC
Well, not that young. One more year and I'll be of legal age.

[Laughs.]

But sometimes parents are harder to convince about one being old enough already. London can be dangerous? Well... Hinamizawa has its own deal of dangerous things.

[And that's without taking into account the Hinamizawa he has seen in dreams where he ends doing horrible things.]

Are you stuck in London? Like we're here now? That sucks... [Wait, moving pictures?] What year was it when you got bring here?

Ah, I see. Still, you're young to me, dear.

All big cities are dangerous. It's natural that your parents should be concerned, don't you think?

As for my being stuck...it's more that I'm rather tied to my job and it doesn't allow for holidays as much as I'd like. [He pauses] Ahn...you had to ask that, didn't you? Well, if you simply must know, it was 1888.

I wonder what is really more dangerous, a big city or a small village almost lost in the map full of ghost stories. [And crazy nurses who try to kill people just for having some sort of illness she wants to prove that it exists.]

Ah, work, that explains it. Still it sucks, you should be able to get some good long holidays, too much work and no fun don't make happy people. [Or mentally healthy people.] Uh? I shouldn't have asked? I'm sorry Grell-san, you could have denied to answer though, I was just curious by how you called movies "moving pictures".

If it makes you feel better it was 1983 at home when I got brought here. We aren't that far apart in time! [Not even a century apart, see?]
