american idol vs anti war protest

there was a lot of commotion going on when I arrived at school today. On my way to get a scantron for my psych 260 class I noticed a lot more people crowded around the stage near the aztec center then usual, and a lot of ICe cream. Then I realized the dude singing was on american idol and all these people handing out ice cream had american idol logos on the t-shirt, so it confirmed my premonition. Then I realized just a few steps down on the free speech steps there is like an anti war protest going on. I don't know why I find this so ironic, and how everyone was crowded around some dude who was on american idol who i dont beleive even won!! while there is like a anti war protest going on and not even half the amount of people who were stuff their face with ice cream even noticed the protest... it's not funny but I dunno something about it seems sooo SDSU like.

either way I can't complain ...
