WTF!
We were locking up this evening and I popped in to the public toilets to check they were clear, only to find a toddler who had been abandoned in there.
Now, I'm not going to say anything about 'how could someone do such a thing etc etc' as I don't know the circumstances and it's not my place to judge. I'll only say that it was a real shock and I felt so sorry for that poor kid when she woke up to find herself with a bunch of strangers.
Over the past few months, we've had to call on the services of the police quite a few times and they have been excellent. Today was no exception - they arrived quickly and sorted out a place to take the kid for the night. Hopefully, they will find the mother and work out a solution with social services. It probably won't be that simple though.
I'm still a bit stunned, to be honest.
