Okay I hit my 50,000th word! YAY! THANK GOD IT'S OVER!
So I submit my manuscript in for verification in the computerized auto-verification thing so I can access the certificate and winner icons

WHAT?! Rough Draft says 50082. Whatever I was using in the wine store would say 50082 words (since they're been lining up with each other so far)
MS Word says I wrote 49,978. 22 words? That can be fixed in five minutes.
How in the hell did I lose over 5,000 words on this verification thing?
You know what I said? Screw it. The whole plot is set up like a giant flashback anyway and it ends the same way it starts. So I pasted the first chapter again at the end. That was enough to push me over.
