Guess WHAT?

I am getting married!!!

Yes, I know... Wooooooooooooh!
So many things to say and not so much time...

Eric and I started talking about getting married back in January (see, I can keep a secret [Lily Aldrin, HIMYM]), while on vacation, after a very crazy Christmas Trip on the boat with the Owners and their Family... At first I said no because I watch too much telly and I wanted a proper proposal Barney' Style (Okay I am now going to start talking about HIMYM otherwise I will get less excited, because Yes, I am still FURIOUS about the finale!). Eric and I were coming out of a crazy trip, as I mentioned already, and a fight over I-don't-remember-what-probably-was-just-the-stress, so the proposal was more of a business proposal, you know...a let's talk about this kind of style, while instead I wanted the surprise and all the prettiest things in the world... But he got me thinking, he kept talking about it in the right moments so eventually I said YES, let's do it.

I will spare you the whole story but we decided to have something very small... Me, him, his friend Tom who's a reverend and a photographer. Pretty basic!

We are going to get married in St Simons Island on May 6 wait for it... 2014... Yes... 3 weeks from now! We set the date a month ago, when the boat confirmed (due to the crossing) our month off in May, before the Ester Trip with Owners, their family and Friends (a total of 48 people - crew included - on board) but our beloved boss had so much fun that wants to try to come on board the first weekend of May... but he is busy so he still has to confirm it and time is running out... Eric and I were supposed to start our Holidays by the end of April, you know, in order to cut some loose ends... So here we are now... waiting... luckily is not a big wedding but still... I set my heart on that date...

I am keeping my fingers crossed because:
  1. The trip is still not confirmed... that means the boss is very busy and maybe it's more likely he is not going to do it even if he wants so badly...
  2. The trip they are talking about is a 2 people trip... You do not need 28 crew on such a tiny trip...
  3. We talked to the Captain and the Purser (the rest of the crew doesn't know*) explaining why we wanted May Off so badly and they understand and if the trip is in May and it is small they are not going to need us...
So I would say there is a 5% chance it is not going to happen, and for me that means that the glass is basically full! I will keep staying positive about it.

Are you ready to take a look at some dresses???
I tried on 5 and it was difficult to decide but I think I have chosen the perfect one!

Dress number One, by Vera Wang.
This is the only Designer dress I tried on. When I saw on the website (davidsbridal.com) that they had gowns by VW I started thinking about Blair in Gossip Girl and her Wedding Dress with that beautiful gown full of roses and... I found something very similar...

Gorgeous dress! And not even that expensive...
PROBLEM: I am a size 4... this was a size 12... They had to clip me into it... :)

Dress number Two.
I really liked this one... It was simple and felt more right. I have a short dress in a flower motive who has got the same cut and I absolutely adore it. It was my first dress ever after the diet who made me lose half my body weight... That dress rapresent for me my victory and this Wedding Gown was absolutely stunning.

PROBLEM: A little bit too big on the boobs area... And no time to make adjustments...

Dress number Three
This dress is gorgeous. Photos don't give it justice. It was just perfect. It was fitting me like a glove and it had that romantic vibe. I think it is very elegant and if I think about the ceremony under the Oak Threes I can totally see it.

PROBLEM: No Problems!

Dress number Four
Here I was a bout to lose it I was totally into it!
This dress was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the whole thing and the back was awesome...

PROBLEM: Tie it up was pretty difficult... You need someone trained to do it... But still it was beautiful!

Dress number Five
The most bridal one I would say! It was lovely!

PROBLEM: It was crying BRIIIIIDE too loud for a small ceremony as ours...

and...

So I brought home with me Dress number Three
And I couldn't be happier!

XOXO!

*If you read my Boat Life Posts you will definitely understand why the crew has been kept in the dark. It is very difficult not to share the news on Facebook for me (since all my friends are on the other side of the Ocean and I managed to contact over email just the closest ones and Facebook helps) but I know that if I say it is not going to end up well with all the talking behind my back and other evil stuff they are capable of... Also... can you imagine if we have to cancel the wedding due to a trip? These girls are going to LOVE it... I can see crystal clear what would happen and I say NO THANKS!
So it is a secret... if we are Facebook friends please do not congratulate me over there... :)

life: love, life: ery!verse, wedding: wedding gowns
