As part of
The New Wave of Singaporean Musicals, six homegrown musicals will be playing over three nights at the Esplanade.
The one i'm pimping is V4, or Vanity Victorious Virtue Vanquished, where 'In the face of plastics and tummy tucks, virtue dissipates as 4 women get caught in a web to pursue physical perfection. V4 is a musical of manipulation, lies, struggles and finding out true beauty within oneself.' It's on June 9th, Friday, at the Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets at $25, and you get to meet the director! (But really, the alliteration is motivation enough to watch this)
Watched Cars at the premiere yesterday at New Cathay, and met
_weilin_ and
shinigamid. It's somewhat of a letdown after the Pixar greats before it. I think animals appeal more than animated automobiles; Nemo v. Robots, Over the Hedge v. Cars, &c.
