Ken-chaaan.. Hiyamaaa..
I still can't handle this guy, he's just too hot.. *dies nosebleeding*
Who could resist a cool underclassman who's good at basketball and wears a 1/3-way unbuttoned shirt? Not me, obviously. He's one of my favorite characters too, so please don't mind me if I'm being fangirly. <3

Ken-chan's reaction upon seeing Hitomi for the first time was "Sugee, so there IS a uniform of that size." which left Hitomi speechless. Basically Ken-chan was very blunt, his words hit where it hurts the most. He had these swarming fangirls as well because of his cool nature.
When out shopping, Hitomi bumped into Ken-chan, who was chased by some scary-looking men (according to Hitomi, anyway). They ran to the park and met Ken-chan's sister. Hitomi then learned that Ken-chan came from a gangster family, and he's the only son with three older sisters. Ken-chan got out of the house and decided to live alone, leaving his family confused. He came home every once in a while though. Ken-chan asked Hitomi to keep the fact about his family as a secret from everyone else. This was later revealed, because when people found out that he came from a gangster family, they became afraid of him and took a distance away.
Hitomi asked Ken-chan to accompany her and her friends for summer vacation, and he suggested they go to France. He didn't want to say why he wanted to go there though. While in France, Hitomi's purse was stolen by a thief, and Ken-chan chased after him. Hitomi followed and lost track of him on the way, but later found him staring at a small bakery. He mentioned about how guys who make sweets seem weak, but Hitomi said that is not the true. No matter what path they take, as long as they work hard and aim for the highest, that's already amazing.
Finally on Christmas, Ken-chan invited Hitomi to his room, where he presented a Bush De Noël to Hitomi. He then confessed that he was the one who baked the cake. He had been hiding this from everyone else, because if people ever find out that the son of a gangster family actually likes to make cakes and desserts, it would certainly be a laughingstock. Ken-chan's parents had always talked him into succeeding their family line, so he felt he couldn't talk to them about his own dreams of becoming a pattisier. A few days later Ken-chan's was beaten by his father because he refused to succeed the family line. Hitomi offered to accompany him when he wants to talk to his parents about his dreams.
On January, Ken-chan met his sisters while out shopping with Hitomi. They asked him to come home, because his father was really angry about him suddenly leaving the house (because of the fight earlier). Eventually they decided that Ken-chan would come home on the 26th, which was unfortunate because Hitomi had a field trip on that day. She was worried about the outcome, so she tried to contact Ken-chan, but he couldn't be reached. Even when she got back, Ken-chan was nowhere to be seen.
A few days later Ken-chan came to her room and told her what happened. Apparently he didn't even have the chance to talk about becoming a pattisier to his parents. His father said that if he doesn't want to inherit the family line, then he should stay at home, and his father would teach him again from scratch. After that he wasn't allowed to go outside, even his cellphone was confiscated. Hitomi then said she wanted to talk to his father, which strengthened Ken-chan's determination. As expected, Ken-chan's father punched him when he said bluntly that he didn't want to succeed the family line, but said he will listen to whatever Ken-chan wanted to say. When he said that he wanted to become a pattisier, his father actually understood and let him pursue his dreams. Ken-chan was very grateful that Hitomi was there beside him that day.
Ken-chan called Hitomi to the gym after the graduation ceremony. He gave her a cake with a message plate with "With Love" written on it. His confession line was the best, I swear: "As you can see.. I love you." He said that Hitomi gave him so much support, so this time he wanted to give support to Hitomi as well. After that she ate the cake, with cream on her face as the result. Ken-chan then..

Let's just go to the epilogue. After he graduated from high school, Ken-chan worked under a top-class hotel pattisier. He eventually got the chance to go to Paris, which would take him one step closer to his dream. Hitomi was sad because they would have to live in different places, and she would surely miss him. She tried not to show that in front of Ken-chan, but eventually her tears flowed when Ken-chan asked about the matter. He then asked Hitomi to go with him to Paris. Even though the customs are different and it might be difficult, but he wouldn't wait. Hitomi agreed, and after that Ken-chan said he will make an unrivaled, amazing wedding cake for her someday.
His love ending just left me speechless.. o_o
Along with Hiyama's voice, that scene alone was enough to knock me dead lol.
