Wouldn't The Paranoid Noldor make a great name for a group?

Formed from the remains of The Leaguer of Angband after that group's violent split, neither The Paranoid Noldor nor Feanorian7 could reproduce the chart-topping success of Battle Beneath the Stars. In the Leaguer's rubble, Finrod Felagund's solo attempt left the material he had written for Nargothrond in dispute between the two groups. The Paranoid Noldor finally emerged with rights to record the music, and drafted vocalist Túrin Turambar from The Edain, but he clearly lacked the power of Felagund. The follow-up, Gondolin, sold less than 250,000 copies and The Paranoid Noldor drifted into obscurity.

Lead singer Maedhros Thetall attempted to reunite The Leaguer of Angband for a one-show performance, but some members of The Paranoid Noldor were still bitter over Nargothrond and refused to take part. Fans generally consider the Unnumbered Tears live album to be inferior to the group's previous efforts. Feanorian7 went on to score minor hits with 'Doriath' and 'Sirion' off the Kinslayer compilation, a hard-edged album that recalled the driving metal harmonies and thumping bass of Battle Beneath the Stars. A series of unfortunate encounters with fans and the media resulted in the demise of Feanorian7 shortly after the release of 'Sirion'. The surviving member, Maglor Feanorion, has had modest success with a coffee-house accoustic style.
