Alright, I've decided I'm back to making this friends only because the idea of anyone being able to read this (including but not limited to teachers, people who I don't want to know me personally, stalkers, and my brother and mother) has come to creep me out quite a bit over the brief spell in which I didn't have it public.
I had switched it back so that the NHI people could read, but since I haven't gotten any indication that anyone's reading it except Jorge, oh well. You can use open ID now so you don't even need an LJ account I think. I still don't really understand how Open ID works.
