Giving multiculturalism a bad name

Mar 26, 2012 18:49

So, the Gillard Government, starting with the PM herself, is already distancing itself from a taxpayer-funded study which claimed that celebrating the centenary of ANZAC could be divisive. This shows that the Gillard Government is not suicidally stupid ( Read more... )

Aren't you supposed to be digging a tunnel into Federal prison with your keyboard? Get to it, man!

I didn't know insulting Australia was illegal.

No, just stupid. And you missed the point. And I don't care, really.

I can think of three worthwhile bands from Australia and maybe five worthwhile writers (and one of them moved to Thailand). Face it: Australia sucks. Australians suck.

Australia is, in point of fact, one of the best countries in the world in which to live, both from the point of view of wealth and of freedom.

Too bad it's filled with Australians.

Do you realize that you are hating a whole nation because one man won't let you onto his forum? Would it make sense to you if I (for instance) hated all people from New England because you are a jerk?

He's not the only Australian twit there. The rioters at Cronulla and every barely literate troglodyte on Stormfront Australia don't exactly help Australia's cause.

All countries have good and bad elements. As for the Cronulla riots, a basic description of the events make it clear that the Muslim immigrant community was at least half to blame for them

so the lessons one might draw are "Australia is too welcoming to outsiders" coupled with "but that welcome has its limits."

The lesson I learned from the Cronulla riots is Australians are belligerent fucks who hate Arabs.

Whereas the initial Muslim attacks on the lifeguards and beachgoers, and their later retaliatory attacks on numerous persons, were in your mind unobjectionable? Why?

Did the Australians not start it by being massive dicks?

Cronulla sucks. Everyone who rioted at Cronulla can go fuck themselves with a loaded syringe of cone snail venom.

So Yama, why haven't you been put into traction or killed for being a "massive dick?" After all, you're -- in the opinion of most people who have experienced your online attentions -- massively creepy and a giant asshole to boot -- so by your logic someone should have beaten the living daylights out of you ages ago. Or does this "ok to beat up people for mere perceived rudeness" rule you've proposed only apply to Muslims beating up non-Muslims?
