Crepes! Galettes! Cider! Laughing at the dog with the finger!

In latish December, went to Breizoz, the Bretan crepery in Williamstown, for the first time, in a very pleasant breakfast jaunt arranged via montjoye. Several people had recommended it to me, but I had never been prior to then. Enjoyed it lots, having a goat cheese, egg and mushroom galette followed by a grand marnier crepe with two cups (well, almost bowls) of excellent dark hot chocolate.

Tuesday was mishymoocow's birthday, so Thursday evening took her and hubby out for dinner. After some toing and froing, hit upon the idea of taking them to Breizoz in Williamstown, which proved to be inspired, since crepes have such good associations with Paris for them both and Breizoz has traditional Bretan cider.

We had a fine time. I had a goat cheese, proscuitto and salad galette followed by a Jaffa surprise crepe. My hot chocolate was a bit of a disappointment, but only in comparison to the previous experience.

We promenaded briefly along the street, but the wafts of cigarette smoke got to mishymoocow and so we decamped.

Took a while for me to drive them back to Hawthorn, as Citylink was closed from the Westage Bridge to near the tunnel. The flashing sign simply said "long delays on Westgate". If they had said that part of Citylink was closed, it would have been a better encouragement to drivers to take another route.

Then we watched my copy of Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang, a movie that gets you to laugh at such wrong, wrong things. Which we did. (Go on, you laughed at the dog with the finger too ...) Then home. A good evening.
