Having coffee with bar_barra and Sam H at Seddon Deadly Sins, having bar_barra summarise F. Nietszche's philosophy as "I really wish I had a girlfriend".

bar_barra leading me to think I should look more into Daoism.

Being the link person in putting together what various of us knew and thought about someone we all cared about and were worried about.

Talking military history in the car with Piers/Peter C and him mentioning the pre-invasion Taliban spokesman dismissing Oz as a small country whose solders were of no concern and having the Vietnamese Ambassador state "clearly, you have never fought them".

Doing a 100 minute Tournament session at an outer suburbs Catholic regional college for 6 classes and letting about 70 kids have a swing at me and having cRowBarr, who watched and helped, comment that he admired how he liked the way I made it look so easy (for me).

Re-awakening an acquaintance that never palls with Phedre no Defaunay de Montreve and with Imriel de la Courcel.

Continuing to tweak my talk Nomads, Medievalism & Modernity.

Working on an essay on the inevitability of property.

Reading a book on the history of Beijing which gives a fascinating insight into Chinese history, particularly the corrupt destructiveness of Maoism.

Reading a book on the history of Italian food which also provides some penetrating insights into Italian history.

Struggling with painful legacies of the past.

All this happened this week.

I do not lead a financially prosperous life, but it is varied one.
