Moonlight Revel (but not a lot of moonlight)

Feb 18, 2009 07:59

Saturday night went to the Stormhold Moonlight Revel, the lovely montjoye having kindly offered to give me a lift there and back.

It being a potluck, I decided to go with an old Politarchopolis in-joke and bring a roast chicken. This turned out to be a good move. There were a lot of fine foods brought by folk, but a bit of a lack of plain meat.

Lots of people turned up--I guess about 40, including children, at the peak. Gil and the College lasses got some dancing going. Which I participated in, having been shamed/inveigled into (twice) by Gil. I, of course, enjoyed it thoroughly.

I ate far more than I should (but not more than my system could handle) because there was lots of good food. Brought along some Virgin Blonde(tm) organic beer, which prompted the sort of amusement I thought it would. (It is pleasant--rather Little Creatures(tm)-like in taste--but froths a lot, even if you drink it from the bottle.)

We got there about 6ish and left about 9.15ish (the lack of moon making things a bit dark), having had a distinctly good time in the middle.

sca, life3
