Enthusiasm
is running the Democrats’ way: Nationwide, the Democratic vote has swamped the GOP. While 10.9 million Americans have voted in Republican primaries so far, 15.7 million - 44% more - have voted in Democratic ones.
In Virginia, nearly 482,000 Republicans turned out to vote for four contenders, fewer than half the number who voted in the Democratic primary. Obama alone received more than 623,000 votes.
