Does anyone out there know a (Christian) theologian who might be willing to look over an essay intended for publication to check for theological howlers?
Haven't been horribly social for the past few months, I admit. Huge amounts of work here in Melbourne and with the army in Wagga Wagga (and I just missed out on a month in the Kimberleys working on Baz Luhrman's latest movie with 'our Nicole' and 'our Hugh'), uni, and then getting seriously sick... and I'm fucking over having pneumonia. :(
Doing anything for brunch tomorrow or Sunday? And it's conceivable we may see each other at J&M's latest housewarming extravaganza too...
From memory my Dad has at least half a theology degree tucked away somewhere as well. What sort of reading are you after, and just who are you aiming to offend? Tooticky's dad is moderately easy going, but mine may be a little harder to shock (having been a teacher, taxi driver, and now health care worker).
The essay is a three parter on monotheism and homosexuality, but it is mainly part one (7,000 words) I would like someone theologically trained to look over. So either or both would be fine.
Sunday... Do you know of Apte on Heidleberg Road? How does about 11:00 sound? And if you're talking to sjkasabi at all in between now and then feel free to invite her (which is ridiculous as she only lives down the street but I figure you're more likely to see/talk to her than we are at the moment).
