On another note - I clicked the video to go to the actually YouTube site (where it is hosted) so I could checkout some comments...
Lets just say that not many people are taking the teachers side or they think it is staged (I have to agree that I consider this highly possible - but it doesn't make it any less funny) - personally I don't think the teacher was out of line at all, so seeing as you work in schools (ok maybe this isn't a problem in primaries) what do you think?
The guy should have at the very least left the room (it most likely isn't even ment to be on - I know there not at my school, not that anyone pays attention to that through).

Having said that, I so understood where the teacher was coming from. It is not, after all, as if it is likely to be a one-off thing.
One of the clubs in Melbourne has a rule that, if your mobile phone goes off inside the club, you have to pick up the drink tab for all members present ...
(Once had the excruciating embarrassment of my phone going on while I was on-air. Been very careful since, I can assure you.)
