Top Five HP Movies!!!

5. Goblet of Fire:

This movie was severely flawed, but anything is better than PoA. And this movie had a couple of bright spots to it that make it all worthwhile.

-It moved too fast. I know there's a lot to cram in, but this was at a ridiculous pace. It kept jumping from point to point without letting any of us really digest what was going on. It lead to putting a thickly plotted book into the style of a vacuous action movie. That should neve rhave happened.

-The scene where Hermione walks down the stairs is very retarded. In the book, Harry sees her and doesn't think much of it, so why in the movie does Harry have to drool over her. Book Harry said it didnt' even look like Hermione, and then he went back to ogling Cho and describing his date's dress and hair in detail.

-Where the fuck are Charlie and Bill!?!?

-Where the fuck is Ginny? By now, the sixth book has come out and still the movie makers can't seem to understand that Ginny needs to be around or her relationship with Harry won't make sense!

-Hermione is supposed to be jealous of Fleur when she touches Ron, not kissing Harry's head after the second task.

-How are the Weasley Twins going to open their shop without Harry's money from his triwizard winnings?

-Gambon sucks balls. He doesn't read the books so of course he doesn't get it. Maybe the directors should have stepped in? DUMBLEDORE DOES NOT FUCKING SHOUT!!!

However, there were actually bright spots in this movie:

The casting of the new characters was brilliant! They were perfect! I loved Brenden Gleeson's Portrayal of Moody, the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students were perfect, Clemence Posey is a beauty, Katie Leung makes a great Cho, Stanislav Ivaneksi was a breathtaking Viktor Krum, David Tennant was a great Barty Crounch Jr. It was all great casting all around. And of course Robert Pattinson ain't so bad either! Although I hated that they replaced Angelina. I liked the girl who looked all tough with braids. She was more like the Angie in my head.

-Another good point is Matthew Lewis as Neville in this one. That tearful scene after Moody's class was very touching, and very well done by all involved.

-I actually liked the way Emma Watson cried on the stairs after the dance, even if they did the argument COMPLETELY WRONG.

-And I also loved that Rupert finally got to flex his muscles and get some use. It helps he looked fantastic in this one.

4. Chamber of Secrets

This isn't my favorite book, but the movie was okay. It had great pacing, it kept the important plot points in, and overall the story was captured well.

Things I hated:

-Leaving out Percy and Penny

-How does Hermione know what a mudblood is? She's not a superhuman. In the book, DD explains the name, not Hermione.

And I honestly can't think of anymore that really bugged me except that!

Things I loved:

Christian Coulson is the sex!

Kenneth Branagh as Lockhart.

-Bonnie Wright did an amazing job as a scared and posessed Ginny. I can't wait to see more of her.

The flying car, the slug scene, and Dobby were exactly how I pictured them! Of course, we can't forget that Rupert was GENIUS in every second of that. He has a great scared face, but he also looked very downtrodden and worried when he found out that Ginny was in the Chamber. "Heart of a lion, this one." Rupert delivered that greatly.

3. Sorcerer's Stone

What a way to start the franchise! The kids look PERFECT in the first movie! Everyone was so near how I pictured them! I remember when I first saw the trailer to that movie: Rachel and I were watching something in the old Cinema Hollywood BR style, and that music started playing. OH THAT MUSIC! It was so special. We grabbed hands and giggled like little girls.

The Chess scene floored me. It was almost exactly like the book save for a few lines here and there. And when Rupert said "I'll be the knight", I was so in love with the films. Sure I became disillusioned, but during this film it was all happiness.

But the best scene for me was when the letters started coming. It was just so perfect as an HP fan to see Harry finding out he was a wizard. All those letters swirling around his head were beautiful! And when Hagrid said  "Dry up Dursley, you great prune." I squealed again.Robbie Coltrane wins at life!

Let's not forget that the late Richard Harris was a much better Dumbledore.

2. Half Blood Prince.

I know it's not technically even out yet, but it already looks better than anything else. It seems as though the important stuff are mostly in.

Things that are in:

Lavender

Oppugno
Quidditch
Cormac
Blaise
Slug Club

Voldemort's backstory for the most part.
Draco's dillema

Harry and Snape's confrontation
Ginny and Harry, though it's done different.

And they added some scenes to make Harry and Ginny's relationship mean something since they fucked up so much before.
The Death
Remus and Tonks
mention of Dean and Ginny
Ron's Poisoning and when he says 'er my knee'
The Wheezes
Romilda Vane
The Necklace

The Unbreakable Vow
Narcissa!

Things not in:
Trelawny
I still don't think we see Firenze
Bill
Charlie
The Gaunts
Dobby/Kreacher
Still no WInky
Scrimgeour

So they are getting ever closer to canon, which is awesome. Moreover, Ron finally gets his part the way it's written in the book, and Rupert looks DAMN YUMMY doing it too.

1. Order of the Phoenix

of course. It was the first time we really saw the characters the way we read them in the book. We had a brave Ron, a clever but vulnerable and human Hermione, and a Harry that is still angry but more in control of his emotions. I think we can thank the fact that the EVIL STEVE KLOVES wasn't writing this script, and the wonderful new director.

Neville was amazing in this. Kreacher's introduction was okay, if not a little lacklustre, and I even liked Cho and Harry's kiss. But there is more to it than just that. Sure they left a lot out, but what they kept in was essential to the plot and done properly.

But the casting of Umbridge was more than wonderful. It was a bright spot in the franchise. Imelda Staunton was perfect.

I loved the casting of Evanna Lynch even more. She's perfect, and she's a real fan, so she makes sure Luna is canon. She is also quite hot in my opinion.

The Weasley Twin's exit was perfect.

The best part of this movie, the Battle between Voldemort and Dumbledore!

And Rupert...of course.
