Maybe it was the cowboy get-up he was wearing, but Leonard felt like getting some trouble started. "Two hundred," he called out with a smirk.

"Three hundred!" she countered, one hand on her hip.

Giving her a smirk of his own, he adjusted his hat and leaned back in his seat.

For some strange reason, he couldn't exactly look at Spock right now.

"Congratulations, sir," he told the man. "And on behalf of the recreation department, thank you!" He directed him to the side of the stage, where Spock was waiting after a hasty exit.

He stepped off to the side, lifting the cane into his grip and then shifting it to the other hand. What did Leonard intend for the evening?

They needed this, had been dancing around this for a while now. But maybe Leonard needed this, some sort of excuse, to let go and do what he wanted to with Spock.
Finding the back of the stage, he almost ran into Spock, not recognizing the shoes (his head was still down, didn't want to see anyone else right now).

"Leonard," he said quietly; the sound of the party and the auction felt muffled around them, and he didn't need more than a murmur in the shadows here.

"C'mon," he said, heading toward the arboretum, thankfully empty when they entered. McCoy took a few steps toward the trees and away from Spock before turning around and looking at him. "Is this okay?"
Okay for what, he wasn't sure yet, but he didn't want Spock to know how unsettled he felt right now.
