Yep yep yep....Ahhhhh...hmmmm what to write...I actually took time for myself and read "Out of the Silent Planet" for half an hour outside today. It was so nice out! I WILL finish that book sometime...it's like soooo short (only ~150 pages) but I've had no time to read. My last two weeks were insanely hectic...I'm not kidding when I say I was busy from dawn to dusk. And it wasn't just a nice, easy slow busy...It was, I'm riding the seat of my pants gotta get this done withint the next few hours busy. (Jenni can relate--very similar schedules.)
Tests galore, labs to turn in, Bible studies to prepare, people to help, ISRU to research, study study study, hw, work 10-14 hours a week, articles to write and hand in, at least five meetings to make/week...and that's only some of it.
Thankfully this week seems to be a bit nicer...ah...but I should really get a head start on the homework and such for next week, cuz soon it will be starting up again.
I had a nice Valentine's...Gladys and I had gone shopping with David on Saturday for Valentine's presents--We picked up some cute Care Bear ones and gave them out to some people we both knew. I got Mike a flying ace snoopy toy to hold a hand made picture frame I made him, as well as some chocolates (guys love to eat...) and a pretty rose. He took me out to a Chinese buffet, where I got some General Zao's Chicken (yum!!!) and we overheard this really mean lady yelling at a waitress because she apparently asked "What kind of drink you like?" instead of "What would you like to drink tonight?" What the crap makes a difference? I was about to go chew out that lady and give her a piece of my mind....grrr...anyways so Mike gave her a tip cuz we both felt bad. After that we went to wal-mart and got some ink for my new **free** printer (Mike found it in a dumpster!!!), as well as some shampoo I needed. Then we chilled at his place and I tried to teach him some algebra--He rocks at calculus, but doesn't have that algebra foundation which makes the class hard in the areas it shouldn't be...and then we both suddenly were hit on the head with the deepest drowsiness you can imagine...like we both sat there saying it's time to go home...but we were like physically incapable to move until I finally was like whining lol and then we left and suddenly weren't so tired anymore. But still really tired so I conked out pretty quickly once I landed in my little beddy-bye. Oh yea! But on the way home we passed a Walgreens that was getting robbed--there were 3 police cars at every parking lot entrance and cops surrounding all the doors!!! Wow.
Anyways, time for Astronomy class---we get to observe from the SARA telescope tonight!!! Yipee!
books,
mike
