So this week has been crawling by...it seems like it should be Thursday of next week as opposed to this one. My schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays consists of a Western Literature course from 8:00-8:50, then from 9:00 to 11:50 I have part I of my WASH block class. We break for lunch, then back to the WASH from 1:00 to 3:50. After that I have work from 5:00 until close. Fridays I have my literature class again, followed by a three hour WASH lecture course. I am not really sure what to think of that WASH class. Apparently it is a very intense, very demanding art course that will hopefully get me thinking artistically in ways that I could have never dreamed. My teachers seem like they are very excited about our class...but I have yet to really form an opinion of them seeing as though it is only the first week and everything. My literature class will be easy, almost like a dumbed down version of Mr. Fuller's AP english class...which is kind of sad because it is the upper level english class that I need for my degree. At the end of the day I am just so exhausted that I can barely even think anymore. There will be some adjusting to my work schedule just so it won't be so unbearable...and I also think that once I get my car fixed things will be easier.
So that's really about it. I will post pictures of my work in an album on my Facebook. Hopefully we will see some progress...and if not, that's okay too. They say that the WASH class isn't a "how-to" course, but more of a "what if?" course. They are challenging us to think creatively and figure out how to execute what it is that we want to make.
Oh, and Deerhunter is an amazing band. I just started listening to them a few weeks ago and I am hooked. And if you are feeling in the mood for some really good sleeping music, I highly recommend The Sun Blindness. Ahah, oh here I go again. Babbling on about music that no one's ever heard of...but I love sharing it.
