Of love and being lost

And I send out love to all of you, too.
Probably won't be around much--though next week, we actually have a week off and I'm going to stick around and play NYC tourist and just get settled. I'll probably carve out a day to start watching Downton Abbey and just vegetate in front of a computer. And make graphics, oh dear. Graphics February goal is not really happening.
So, adjusting to living here has been mostly awesome (I have friends! We go out to dinner and eat delicious food and pay far too much for it!) but also confusing. I got lost twice today. I navigate so visually that what I really need to do is get out and walk around and orient myself. My neighborhood is not really the greatest for doing that if you are alone and a young white woman, though.
I am fascinated by the different population pockets here, and how they rub up against one another and pretend the others don't exist.
