This one knows how to get out of the rain and stay comfortable!
And take advantage of handicapped parking!

Imagine if we had gotten too close to the monkeys while running up the stairs and they jump on our faces or something!

I think Taiwan has pine (or at least pine-like evergreens) but they're not stereotypically Christmas tree-shaped.

I was surprised that we didn't notice the monkeys until we were up the stairs. But I guess we were just running so intensily.

It's good that it's interesting since sometimes I feel like it's so much to post so I hope people are getting something out of it.

The breakfast was a mix of Chinese/Taiwanese dishes (like I guess tofu, congee, yams) with some Western things like toast.

And those monkeys were cute even in those moments that they induced fear!

I'd ask if you ever traveled to Asia, but I remember you said you don't do airplane travel, right?

True. The only time I've been on a plane was at the age of three to Canada.

The scenery is incredible! I can't get over all of the pictures of the landscape.

I think encountering monkeys that close would terrify me, haha. That's cool, though, that they were just kind of hanging out there.

It was super cool to see the monkeys out and close, but it was a bit scary when they were threatening and then reading that they carry disease (after the fact!). But looking back on it, it was super cool.

I guess Taiwan lived up to its Portuguese name Formosa, which supposedly means beautiful island or so I'm told.
