Death and Love
Yesterday, we found Puffy (our 10+ yr old goldfish) laying at the bottom of the tank =( He was incredibly old for a goldfish and had a good life from being a feeder, but it was still sad. Recently, he's been having longer periods of inactivity and "resting" towards the bottom of the tank more, so I guess it was just time. I poked him a couple of time to confirm before fishing him out with a net. We buried him under the peach tree with a couple of seashell on top. He was just a goldfish, but I guess he seemed to have the most personality (either real or imagined) of the fish.
Apparently yesterday was also my "work anniversary". I got an e-mail from my new boss (who was my original boss who hired me). That's good to know. Since I started as a temp, I technically have two starting dates (one in June and one in Sept), but yesterday was my official one for all benefits or whatever. And I'll be able to remember it since...
...Today is my wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been 9 years!!! Time really flies but at the same time, I can't really imagine things without Angie. We're going to have some cheese fondue at home tonight. So after work, I'll be going on a shopping spree to get some ingredients. Saturday, we'll probably go somewhere. I was first thinking of doing another lake since that was so fun, but logistics. I'm sure we'll figure something out. We'll also plan to do chocolate fondue at some point too. It's good we're making use of our recipe book from the Melting Pot.
