Yesterday, we watched all our shows from the beginning of this week, which is only Agent Carter, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off the Boat, and The X-files. So shows are slowly coming back. But overall, they were pretty good. I think Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Fresh Off the Boat are pretty consistently good. Agent Carter was okay/good.
But the episode of The X-files was really good! Since its only a six episode run, I expected there to be pretty much a little story arc of mythology and such. But I've been pleasantly surprised that there are several stand alone episodes. Last week's episode was okay, but this week's episode was really good. It was so light-hearted and self aware of itself. I reminded me of classic comical episodes, like that vampire one, which is one of my favorites. So I was very happy. Although, I wonder if the rest of the episodes will be more serious or anything. But overall, I think this relaunch has been much better than I expected.
Also, I was pretty happy with the Iowa results. I actually don't even like Ted Cruz, but I was very happy that Trump did not win, plus Rubio did much better than expected. So hopefully my original thought of "once the actual primaries take place, Trump will just fall away" will come to fruition. So my hope now is that Rubio (who is the best of the major candidates), gets the "establishment support" and will just win. If not, then I'll have a tough decision in November. Oh, its also very good that Carson seems to be fall out of it. The less Trump/Carson the better. I also wouldn't vote for Cruz, so come on Rubio.
In other news, people are quite unhappy about the most recent reorg. I can understand since it was kind of handled really terribly. Normally, they'll let you know your own situation before rolling out a big meeting. Even if your situation didn't change, you'd have a meeting so you wouldn't be left out and so you could talk. But for some reason, this time they didn't do that at all. Apparently there were super short meetings for the people reassigned to different departments, but zero meetings for people who were moved around in department, which is pretty bad. Like the first you hear that you have a new boss is on an org chart in a big meeting. Pretty terrible. Also, the meeting was on a Friday, then this week, the vast majority of management is away. So while, I don't really care, I can definitely see why people would be quite upset; it was handled terribly. (This was after six months of limbo.)
