I'll try to make this update before walking Alfie since he has so much energy. Although when I was trying to round him up earlier, he was resistant.

Anyway, after a LJ friend wrote about getting a cleaning robot (a Neato), I was inspired to fix up my Roomba. Its actually a pretty old one (first or second generation) and the major issue was that the battery died. Since replacement batteries weren't too expensive (~%50), I decided to get a new battery. Also, on the website, they had a package with replacement filters, brushes, and other parts. I also got that so the my little robot can be pretty much new, except the core body. The total cost was under $100, which wasn't bad considering new Roombas are quite expensive. Plus letting my robot waste away is pretty wasteful. Its really nice that the iRobot site still supports all the old versions, unlike something like Apple. So my little robot is sweeping up the bedroom while I type this.

Also, against all reviews, I'm pretty excited for the new Fantastic Four movie. Its mainly based on how I really enjoyed Chronicle. I'll probably be disappointed, but I guess it happens.

The work crew have finished up with the last touches of our kitchen so its finally done. Finally!

I'm also still looking for costume ideas for NYCC. Right now, Quicksilver (Days of Future Past) seems to be a bit of a front runner just because I don't think it'd be too difficult. The only difficult part is finding/making the jacket. I imagine the rest of the costume is main from easy to find parts and I'll just need to dye a wig. But if I'm Quicksilver, I'm not sure if there's a good costume that Angie has in mind. Eh, we'll figure something out. Our Battle Royale and Nathan Drake/Lara Croft were all last minute too. And they turned out quite well.

Oh, and another thing, I was watching the end of the Republican debate last night. Now, its one thing to be against some of their positions, but the whole thing was just really bad. Like the format was horrible. They seemed to ask different questions to different people at random. How I am supposed to contrast their ideologies if they don't respond to the same questions? Also, I get bashing democrats and Obama, but at least answer the questions. I remember someone was asked about Russia and Iran and they basically just bashed Obama's foreign policy, which is fine, but answer the question at some point. I was quite unimpressed by most candidates, especially Rand Paul. I think I thought the more positive candidates (Bush, Christie, Ohio governor?) made a much better impression. But we'll see what happens.

Anyway, I'll walk Alfie now.
