Well, for me anyway.
Nov 1 was All Souls/Saints Day, the traditional beginning of the church year. I attended services at Cathedral of Hope UCC (calling
mrdreamjeans while on the drive into Dallas) as I have done for years. This will mark my annual return to church. I attend every year from today through Easter Sunday, sometimes through Pentecost Sunday. It depends. I really love the traditional aspect of the liturgy from now through Easter and make it a point to attend this time of year. The rest of the year I take off - not very dedicated to the organized Church, but I keep my connections during this time...
After church, it was off to Coppell and Grapevine to attempt getting fall color photos. It was an adventure at one point when I was standing in a field at one point and found I was standing on a fire ant mound and had them swarming up my leg. Thank god no one was driving by to see me rip my pants off to get the ants off me, especially since I was going commando at the time. That would have been a lot of fun to explain to the less than humorous Farmer's Branch. TX police department. Anyway, with all the rain it was a bit soggy in places and there really was not a lot of pretty color to speak of, but I got a few...
