Happy 4th!
A day late, but it was a pretty late evening.
I wound up going up to Parker County to the home of my friends Ken and Ted. They own a small spread of 12 acres, a couple of horses and lot of peace and quiet - so different from my suburban existence. It was a small crowd of us gathered for some pool time, barbecue and later fireworks. I have known Ken and Ted for years, but only in this past few months have been getting to know them better and been introduced to a new set of people who I am getting to know as well - a western Metroplex crowd if you will.
It was a good time for certain and I got to talk about a tawdry encounter with a minor celebrity from Nashville as well as hear and learn fun things about the people there. I had a blast and look forward to hanging out with some of these people more.
