Progress

Today, my knee finally felt up to withstanding a spin class, so after work I sped to the gym with the intent of swimming as many laps as I could, drying off and then doing the spin class. As it was, I did 1000 quite quick (20 minutes) then made it just in time for an hour of hard spin. As a result, I am BEAT tonight and slathered on some Biofreeze onto my upper arms and shoulders to help with the recovery a bit. Tomorrow will be swimming only, so we will see if I can go back to 2000 meters.

Fun point of the evening? After the class, the instructor, who had been away for two weeks, made a point of telling me he could really tell I was shaping up better since he had seen me last. He said he could really tell in my shoulders and upper body that there was a great deal of change happening. Now if only that change would migrate down to my midriff! Actually, it made me feel good that someone noticed and that he felt comfortable enough to tell me.

Funny thing though - I have not lost one pound in the last two weeks, but I know I am still shrinking in my size, save for the belly area. That bit is frustrating me to no end.

SIGH...
