(no subject)
I got a letter in the mail the other day from a woman who apparently has my celica... she said she lost the title, and needed me to sign some papers from the dmv...
now... here's the interesting thing...
this lady bought the car from a private seller... meaning that the past 3 years or so, at least 2 owners have been diving my car around with the title still in my name...
also, with the statute that the dealership broke when I bought the eclipse, the celica should have been returned to me, along with the checks for my down payment...
my mom is calling the dmv to find out a few details, then I'm going to go see my lawyer, and try to take care of this whole fiasco...
but technically, if my understanding of the law, I still own that car, and should be able to call the car in as stolen....
