John just called me up. He wants to me and the boys to go to the Trocadero right now. I had to say, "Wait a minute, Jack. It's still too early yet. We don't want to drink the place dry before 9." John replied that he hadn't been to bed yet and lost track of all time. We plan to meet at 8. Let's hope we don't get too out of control like last Saturday. Boy was that cigarette girl blushing everytime she walked past our table!

Speaking of today, it was an absolute hell. I walked into my home around 5 in the morning and filming began at 7. Lili was up and yelled how she didn't want a drunkard for a husband. I just walked right passed her, up the stairs and collapsed on the bed. It wasn't until the phone rang at 8 from the studio, that I finally woke up and went down to Warners. I hate Saturdays on the lot.

When I headed through the lot, one of the grips (I forgot his name), came up and said, "Curtiz is not happy and he went livid to hear you weren't on the set yet". "Don't worry," I said. "Five minutes and I'll be ready." Of course it didn't take five minutes, I felt like I sat in the makeup chair for hours. Perc commented on how much I needed under the eyes to cover the dark circles. I just smiled, usually I would have came up with something witty to say. But not today, it was a struggle to get through the shooting. The rest is just boring details, you all know how filming can be. I was glad that by 3, when Michael yelled "wrap", we were all ready to go home. I needed some rest.

Well everyone that's all for now. I hope to see some of you all at the Trocadero tonight. If you see me, don't be shy... you can stop by the table and I'll buy you a drink.
