So I have been extremely busy since my last entry, however I have yet to even begin the steps for going to college. Although, I think I finally have a "plan", but first an update.
I worked at McDonald's for roughly six months (that's right; it didn't last long). Within a month of working there, I was promoted to a manager. Needless to say I was pretty excited about it. It wasn't too long after my "achievement" that I started noticing all sorts of false promises. There was a huge lack in judgment on the store manager's behalf, the crew (which was always changing) was extremely disrespectful to everyone, complete chaos 24/7 and to top it all off- the asshole customers who bitch because they had to take a FUCKING PICKLE off their sandwich when they ordered it without. Ugh.
I realized that it was, after all a fast-food restaurant, but no matter the company, when they make a promise there should at least be a shred of truth in it. In short, I wasn't being paid damn near enough an hour to deal with all the bullshit that ended up on my plate in the short months I was a manager there. So I got a new job. At AFNI for better pay and better benefits, being how a multi-million dollar company like McDonald's wouldn't give me my health insurance.
I start my new job on the 22nd, so in the gap of employment, I have a few things on my to-do list to...well do.
1) Christmas gifts...going to cost me roughly 250 green.
2) Get a eye exam and new glasses and another 3-400. EEP!
3) Organize the apartment (been moved in for more than 5 months and shit is still in boxes.)
4) Finally, talk to a counselor about taking on-line classes.
Not to mention a diet I'm starting today.
SO I have a week to get this done. I think if I manage my time wisely for once, I'll be able to get all this and then some done.
Crossing my fingers.
