I just came from my third meeting of the Women's Global Green Action Network. Oh my god, I love these women! There were only six of us there tonight. The numbers have been steadily dwindling at the meetings, but Melinda says that many more people are still involved behind the scenes.

Two of the women were new, so we did introductions. I gave my usual somewhat apologetic summary of myself -- how I don't have the experience in organizing or activism that the other women have, but that my eyes were opened to the needs of the developing world when I traveled, etc., -- that I want to help any way that I can.

Then, Mary, one of the organizers, said in her usual direct way, "We all have something to contribute. Don't ever belittle yourself around me, 'cause I won't let you get away with it."

But she grinned at me when she said it and I almost cried -- I felt so much love and good energy pouring out of her and flowing into me.

I think my work with this group is going to be very good for me. In fact, I think it's going to be life-changing.

EDIT: And, in other good news...

Man, I love my new haircut! This cut works with, not against my waves. My hair practically styled itself.
