The fic meme

Now I've brought it upon myself. Beware.

The first TEN people to comment in this post or in future, get to request that I write a drabble short text of any pairing/character of their choosing.* In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level (yes, even if it's as low as mine)
NOTE: I've expanded the list of ( Read more... )

Sorry for not doing it yesterday or the day before yesterday; life has a distasteful habit of being hectic recently :/

First of all, Arthur's POV is just marvellous; very kingly, depressed and resigned, it'd seem; that he sees what's happening between Guin and Lancelot, and the way he describes it is very poignant; and the line with ash simply gripped my heart.

And then the horses! I might have mentioned it before, but I love horses- in every form, be it in real life or in literature- and so every mention is very dear to me. The way you describe how breathless and exhilarated they are, with the fresh air and exercise and wind- and temporary freedom of the courts of Camelot... Well, I simply adored that passage!

I also very much liked the parallel between the first and second half; first mentions of how Arthur can't fan the sparks into flame in Guinevere, and then about the "fire cracking in your [Lancelot's] veins". Nice touch :)

And that Arthur would call himself a sinner unable to enter Heaven... well, it seems very in-character to me. So, I congratulate you on a job well-done and thank you for fulfilling my prompt.
(now if only I could make myself write and post this meme on my LJ...)

First of all - I'm elated you like it, of course! Even though I can see from your comment that I didn't quite manage to capture everything I wanted; some things just aren't clear enough... To be honest, I didn't plann the Guin/Lance relationship to be catched by Arthur at all... The first part was rather supposed to show Guin's aloofness towards Arthur and how she 'exchanges' an unwanted husband for lovers - which is later contrasted in Arthur's relationship with Lance, where the king finds all the emotions his marriage lacks... and there's the irony, since we the readers know well how the story goes. Well, I failed at reforging an idea to a text - but still I'm glad I didn't fail in making your reading pleasant :) And to hear my interpretation of the characters stays in accordance with yours makes it even nicer.
Ha! You like horses! Now who could foresee that? ^^ I threw them in simply for their dynamism; it's great to know they turn out to be a welcomed bonus :D
I know I'm still to do your second request, but I can't wait for you to post this meme! In the magic 'after the session' time, perhaps? *nudges gently*

*receives the nudge with poise and elegance attesting to heightened resistance towards such actions*

Take it easy.
Oesuu, nie ogarniam ilości komentarzy pod tym biednym postem...

That sounds so wrong :P But I'll do my best to follow your sage advice. "Henri, sweetheart, come here please!"
(Disclaimer: You take all the blame when M. receives him back with a bunch of bunny-kids).

dwa razy tyle
Ai, don't tempt me, hun. What you just said is so fundamentally wrong I can't even begin to comprehend it. Waiting and postponing things is not to be encouraged! And I've been asking around for a solid kick recently, too! All this is ruined now!
*laments and wails*
;P

Lol! This is what popularity feels like ;)

Hey! There's no such things as too much bunnies, especially when we're considering the Lapins... *prepares a banner that reads "A Lapin for everyone" and shakes it vehemently*

You're right, procrastination is wrong to the core; but I wasn't talking about postponing things, only about taking your time to finish them off till they're sheer masterpieces. Doing things in a hurry is just as wrong as doing them too lazily.
I could kick you, but that would do you no good. Ask my sis ;)

Orly? Then popularity is sort of intimidating. I feel bad about spamming my own journal! But then again, I would feel equally bad for not responding to all these awesome comments.

I want a Lapin *sniffs*

I know what you were talking about. But I'm desperate enough to grasp at straws, so my liberal muse decided to interpret it as it suited him (yeah, it's a he) best.

Oh, but the sis situation only recommends you; you have experience ;P

Don't feel bad. It's my fault anyway; I have been hijaking comment threads for five years now. I'm just bad like that.
And it's a vicious circle; both sides keep responding.

You have one! Don't sniff! *provides a tissue*

Your muse is a he! Now that explains a lot. They tend to hear just what pleases them, you know.

I have experience along with heavy leg. You wouldn't like to have me performing any acts of physical violence upon you (not that I'd like to perform them upon you anyway).

I think it's high time I broke the vicious circle. When one attempts to look up a "tissue" by typing "husteczka" (sic!), it's better for said one to go to bed.
Nighty night. Have sweet dreams with sh*tloads of cute bunnies :3

Oh, don't I know it! He's an awful individualist. AND a hedonist. And he snores when I'm trying to sleep in the same room as he.
At the moment, he's away on holidays, scouring the Tibet. When he's home, he usually entertains me next to a swimming pool, serving drinks with arsenic.

But I love violence!

Nje trzewa, mam husteczke pszy zobie.
Do zobaczenia, miłej nocy, a ja chyba sobie obejrzę Supernaturala, bo wszyscy wiedzą, że horrory najlepiej ogląda się przed snem ;)
*takes a certain bunny *coughs*lapin*coughs* to bed* Now I'm certain the dreams will be sweet! Thanks for well wishes ;)
G'night.
