HAPPY DECEMBER EVERYONE!! I am in a ridiculously good mood today. I am watching an old Perry Mason episode, and I really like how he always managed to get the guilty party to confess on the stand. They don't make lawyers like that anymore.
At Thanksgiving dinner, I was talking with my parents about books and writing, storytelling vs. technique, etc. We touched on Harry Potter and then we started talking about the Twilight series and how it's such a huge success. I said it seems like for a lot of the fans, Twilight is their first exposure to any kind of genre fiction (and being fannish), so they're all like, "ZOMG VAMPIRES!! AND THEN THERE ARE WOLVES AND IT'S ~AWESOME~" While the rest of us are like, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???"
Then it occurred to me: Twilight is like the Facebook of fiction.
...
Did I just blow your mind?
For realsies, though, leave me some prompts? I'm in the mood to write silly stories. It doesn't have to be anything too specific (ex: unicorn!Jensen/vampire!Jared, forbidden love), I just need some inspiration.*
*I make no promises, and I'm not actually going to write unicorn!Jensen/vampire!Jared. Probably.
ETA: Is anyone else excited for
Fairly Legal? Sarah Shahi is one of my girlcrushes. I will be watching.
