So Lollipop would probably head upwards as well. Partially because she is a curious candy but also partially because I would love to play with you in actions and suchlikes, if you are willing.
Lollipop never did know when something might be a bad idea. With a mind so open her brain often fell out, figuratively speaking, Lolli's common sense was nigh on nonexistent. As such, she had immediately decided to investigate the situation, despite her lack of knowledge or experience. She flew over the smoking ground with little difficulty, her wings making mesmerizing whorls in the dusty air.
Even for Lolli, this place was weird. Not that hovering cities weren't nifty, mind, but cities that were threatening not to hover any more were distinctly less so. When her gaze fell upon another investigator, her face broke into a wide smile and she waved enthusiastically. Lollipop dropped her altitude till she was about ten feet from the ground and spoke, her voice cheerful and her sky blue eyes glittering with the simple joy of meeting someone.
He looked no different from any other man. There was no halo, no glow, no wings on his back, but unmistakably, at least to those who would be able to tell at all, he was an angel of heaven. Otherwise, he’d have a much harder time getting up to this sky city! Not to mention getting back down again.
It was hard not to recognize Lollipop from what he had heard over the radio. She didn’t hide any sign of her divinity at all, and he found her.. somewhat peculiar. Angels did not behave as she did back where Cas came from. Where she was bubbly he was the exact opposite. Not that he wasn’t pleased to meet her, but he rarely smiled and seemed to be accustomed to a neutral expression.
Lollipop took no offense at Castiel's rather somber expression. Clearly he was just really concerned for the well being of the people downstairs. The implications of his presence finally made tiny, primary colored gears begin to turn in Lollipop's mind. He had an unmistakable je ne sais quoi that screamed, or, more accurately, simply said in rather matter-of-fact tones, that he was an Angel. She was here.....and he was here....which meant he was.....
She nearly fell out of the sky.
Catching herself with a fantastic, wild-limbed scramble, Lollipop simply gaped for a moment.
Holy shit, you're an ANGEL!
Immediately landing on the safe ground next to him, she extended a hand for a reverent handshake.
I totally didn't realize you were working for God. It's really awesome to see an angel here.
Interestingly enough, the angels on Lollipop's world didn't act like her, either. Her idiosyncrasies were all uniquely her own.
Castiel simply watched as Lollipop tried not to fall out of the air. He blinked once, the only sign that he had reacted at all to the behavior.
“Uh.. yes, I am.” His words seemed as conservative as his appearance. A suit, a loosened tie and a trench coat didn’t exactly make him stand out in the world, or maybe that was the point.
Her extended hand caused him to look down, blue eyes staring at it for a second, before lifting his own hand and reaching to accept the handshake. “I’m not the first to arrive. There have been others. Demons as well, from what I understand.”
[Lollipop's grip was warm and welcoming. She very nearly pulled Castiel into a hug, but decided she'd best find out whether he'd be offended by that sort of thing. An expression of open surprise blew across her face at his words. If other angels had come here, maybe her friends would come, too.]
"Seriously? That's groovy. Maybe Vic will show up. He'd totally get a kick out of this place."
[She eventually released Castiel's palm to gesture at the crater, rocking back and forth on her dirty, bare feet.]
[Interestingly enough, floating cities with craters in them ranks about Lollipop's normal. A normal life would be abnormal, and so on and so forth. Hugs, around Lollipop, were neigh on inevitable. It was as if the breezy happiness garnered by living couldn't be contained within her petite frame. Wrapping her arms around someone and squeezing was just a way to manage the spill-over. Of course, many of Lollipop's acquaintances didn't see it that way. In fact, most didn't.
At Castiel's words, Lollipop leaned in conspiratorially.]
"They-ay?"
[Her low, languid voice made the question longer than was probably natural.]
"I wouldn't call gods 'it'....'gods' is plural." She shook her head as if to rattle loose something betwixt her ears. The idea of random gods blasting a crater in anything had clearly never occurred to her.
"No, no, I meant how do you know what caused that" Pointing a finger at the smoldering debris "Wasn't a falling satellite or a space monster or something?"
*taps fingers together all bashful-like* Are you?

"Vic?" A confused look crossed his face, but then he dismissed the question with a slight shake of his head.
Once his hand was released he turned to look and took a few steps toward the crater's direction. "No, they didn't leave anything behind."

“I guess.. you can call the gods in this world “it” if you want to..”
He wouldn’t dispute the usage of the word, or calling them something other than gods, since he didn’t really think of them as gods to begin with.
