[ oh. well. she knows that voice and a million things fire through her, unsure if she should let him in.

she does. because it's him. she holds the door open, gesturing ] Souji. Come in.

[ He comes in and immediately he feels very unsure about himself. It's painful to look into the eyes of someone you betray and leave out to be picked on to say the least. Souji hesitantly gazes to make eye contact, his gray eyes watching her clear blue visage. ]

[ well this is awkward. milly doesn't like that and she doesn't want to feel like that. so. she just pretends she doesn't. a smile is pasted on her lips as she goes further in and perches right on the edge of the couch. ] Sure. [ pats the place next to her ] Have a seat.

[ He nods and has a seat. His clouded, somber gaze meets the clarity of hers. She's smiling but it's easy to see the hurt behind the smile. ]

[ They sit in silence for several moments. ]

[ He starts. ] ... I don't deserve to be here. You're very kind Milly.

[ for a few moments longer milly remains silent, staring down at her hands clasped on her lap. she doesn't really know what to say ] I'm not entirely sure it's kindness, Souji. [ in fact, she's certain it's mostly selfishness, but that doesn't need to be said ] Why are you here?

[ Another beat. ]

[ okay. loss for words here. in fact she doesn't say anything for a few minutes, just thinking everything over. but after that bit of thought, she just reaches over and slips her hand over his. ]

Okay. [ this might be a stupid idea. but. she missed him and, well, they can work through it. ] Yes. I think we should.

[ Souji doesn't talk about himself very much. Usually he's the one to dig into these matters with other people, and he's sure that if he were just more honest with himself and would let the important people close to him know how he feels, a whole lot of this could have been avoided. ]

[ He closes the eye on the side her hand brushes his cheek, nuzzling into it. Souji leans forward, pressing his head against hers. Her boldness in action and heart drew him to her and it still continues to be an effective pull. ] Milly. [ His heart aches sweetly; her touch calmed him, excited him, filled him with resolute happiness. He smiles warmly, then pecks her on the nose. ]

[ there's a warm feeling that blooms in her heart and begins to spread out over her body. a soft laugh bubbles up at the chaste kiss. ] Hey...! [ He never expects Milly to wait patiently. Souji does this, knowingly teasing the luxurious-maned blonde sitting beside him and pressing her lips against his. He returns the soft kiss with savored brevity, then chuckles, nuzzling his nose against hers. ]
