SETTING.

ERONUM CITY Eronum is an enormous city (population estimated to be roughly 1.5 million people), very similar to the American city of Philadelphia. Eronum lacks an airport, however, or any bridges, ports (despite there being a large lake), or busways leading to and from the city, strangely enough. The only means of commute is through a railway system with several trains that make rounds three times daily, and three times nightly. There are still a great many cars and other vehicles for traveling around town.

For the most part, Eronum is an expensive, high-class city. There are few "slums" or shady areas, and the entire area is exceptionally well-kept. The crime rate is unusually low for a place of such human density, and seems to be run rigidly by a well-coordinated police force as well as a selection of "elected" town officials. It's even notable to add that there don't seem to be many stray animals, even. Things run more or less like clockwork, though naturally there are places and people that are... less than perfect.

The architecture is distinctly Colonial, Georgian, and Victorian - pristine even in shades of steel blue, gray, slate, and deep greens. There are a great number of steel and concrete skyscrapers, tall business buildings with rows and rows of glass windows, and one particularly tall building with a long point that stands well over 900 feet high. Public housing are often built quite close together, even with spacious yards, known as "row houses." There are not many places in the city that have incredible amounts of land and privacy, save for a few mansions in the Upper District.

More images than you should ever need to care about seeing: 1, 2, 3 4, 5.

ERONUM'S MIDDLE DISTRICT In Eronum, there really isn't what you could call a "Lower District," just a few trouble spots here and there, so Middle District encompasses working and middle classes as one. The cheapest housing are the apartment buildings, which typically range from $500 to $700 a month. As the size and quality of the houses grow, so too do the prices. Lower-middle class homes might be between $1500 and $3000, and your high-middle class homes can breach $7500. But who really cares about all that price range crap, amirite. Middle District is the closest to the Shopping District, which can sometimes mean fairly heavy traffic on the major streets.

ERONUM'S UPPER DISTRICT All the business big-wigs, millionaires, celebrities and generally enviable people live here. Price ranges can get a little astronomical - the most expensive home in the district is owned by one of the city officials with a price tag of well over $1 million. Your "less" expensive Upper District homes, condos and suites can be as little as $10 thousand (which, you may find fortunate, isn't difficult to earn if you're a foreigner in Eronum). In some parts this district runs right up alongside the lake, and is not far from Central Park and the Amphitheatre. Needless to say there are lots of expensive-looking things here and fences around trees. Welcome to Park Avenue, don't trip over your crushed ego on the way out.

ERONUM'S SHOPPING DISTRICT Imagine every store, every convenience, every restaurant you could ever possibly want all in one place. That's Eronum's Shopping District. While it may lack a few things some people might find necessary, and as you get closer to the Upper District it may tax your wallet more than you may appreciate, the city prides itself on having a wide selection of places to buy things you probably don't really need that badly. Not only is there shopping and restaurants, but this District branches out and encompasses the majority of Eronum, so that many of the hotels, hospitals, theatres, banks and dealerships are also considered part of the shopping center. It's a wonderland, baby! And you should see it at night. Although perhaps you shouldn't; what few criminals there are in Eronum usually wait until after dark to strike. For some reason, the police don't ever seem to be too present around then.

THE RESTRICTED DISTRICT Foreigners using the device given to them by the city official may access the city maps provided for them, and after observation may notice that some areas - one large part in particular - seem to be incomplete or missing. If you follow your nose to this suspicious location, you'll find yourself lacking for the same hospitality you received upon arrival. Locals and officials here will trip over themselves to chase you away, and rest assured they are heavily armed and heavily caffeinated. It's not difficult to spy large, important-looking buildings and houses beyond the tall, wrought-iron gate where the guards stand watch, but there is no indication as to who or what may be residing there otherwise.

No one is ever seen going in or out of this area, but hey, don't let that stop you. They said that about the trains, too, and we all see how well that story held up.

HOUSING.

Once your character has secured some sort of place to live, fill out the form below to list them here. This is just for reference, so people can see who is living where and with who, and all that good stuff. If any room mates come to live with your character that need to be listed, just have them reply to the first comment you've made (for example, if Bob fills out the form below and then later, Bill comes to live with him, Bill only needs to reply to Bob's comment instead of filling out the form all over again).

Feel free to get creative with it if you want, and provide pictures or descriptions or whatever you'd like! Sky's the limit.

All kinds of places in Eronum are hiring and there is no shortage of places to work nor variety of jobs.
