CS4 Fiasco
So if people have been wondering what I've been up to artistically for a month or so, my photo production has stalled owning to technical difficulties - specifically combating a supposed "upgrade" to Photoshop CS4 to handle my new camera that ended up introducing all sorts of computer-related color instability that has made it almost impossible to print or process my digital photos... I still can't figure out if it's the software, OSX, my hardware, or something in my color management system. I've finally managed to get a downgrade done at the last minute before a crucial job, but it makes me a bit pine a bit for the analog darkroom - or even just to draw or write. Sometimes I feel as though the ever-increasing complexity in digital photography really hinders creativity...
