Yay bunnies!
Yesterday I found a mommy bunny and her two little babies out in the parking lot. I DIED of cuteness. The mommy was about Yomi's size, as most of the wild adult rabbits around here are. It always scares me at first at night...because my initial reaction is to think that Yomi escaped some how.
...though I seriously doubt he could get out of his cage, walk out my door, down the stairs, out the front door and down the outside stairs...hahaha.
But the babies were about two inches long each. Cute beyond all words. I hope things go well for them. Finals are coming up so at least they won't have to worry about crazy college students trying to mess with them.
I've been pretty down since someone murdered a rabbit earlier this semester...so I get simultaneously worried but excited when I see them around. Someone also shot and killed a spoonbill earlier this week. Considering we had only two on campus and they were mates...I think that's a pretty sick thing to do...so I do worry about our wildlife.
There's an investigation going on about the spoonbill thing. The St. Pete police, I think, is involved. I really hope the animal abusers are brought to justice.
