First of all, Avatar was amazing. see it in IMAX 3D. The story isn't amazing (basically Pocahontas mixed with a little bit of Fern Gully), and you know story-wise what's going to happen the entire time, but the movie is still phenomenal. The story is really just a reason for the viewers to explore the amazing world they've created. You get completely immersed in the world, and you really don't want to leave it.
Anyway. Not sure when the last time i wrote in this was, but next semester is going to bring with it some huge changes in my life so i think it's warranted.
This internship means a lot of things. I'll be living in my own apartment right in the center of the capital district in albany. Instead of rolling out of bed at 1030 or 11 every morning and going to class unshowered in old clothes, i'll be waking up at 830 to shower and put a suit on before going to work every day of the week.
I'm a little bit scared, but i'm also looking forward to it. It's gonna be a great taste of "real life", being on my own and basically having a job. Plus, i'll probably meet at least a couple cool people in my internship program.
But not only am i gonna be in a new place on my own, but there's the relationship thing too. Litsa's going abroad and we're not gonna try to stay together for it. It's a little bit unfortunate that she's willing to potentially throw away a future for one semester abroad, but i understand why it makes sense. I'm just gonna try to make the best of it and try to enjoy being single again, which i haven't been in a while anyway.
So, next semester (which starts for me on jan. 4th!) is gonna look like this.
no roommates + no girlfriend = (hopefully) fun
meals goes to school ten mins away though which is pretty sick
