(no subject)
Three weeks after he started step 2, he asked me to stay and supervise some training when he came back with lunch. I told him no-he needed to figure this trick out on his own or he would never learn. I swear he was about to cry but then he sucked it up and said he didn’t expect a positive answer-that he only asked on a whim... Right....
I’ve been sending letters back to leaf-town about our progress here. The elders are impressed that Naruto managed to master even the first step though I didn’t exactly give them the details of how he did it. I should probably send one to Genma and check out how my plants are doing... I didn’t expect to have to be out here this long looking for Tsu-dy... At this rate I’m gonna miss my plants’ breeding and pollination seasons... I’m gonna be a whole year behind in growth unless I can figure out how to get Genma to do it... and even then it could be dangerous. Though it might be more dangerous if they do it without supervision... I could get some bad cross breeding out of it.
I hope this searching for Tsunade doesn’t take much longer. I am in a major gambling hub-so why isn’t she? I figured if I hung out here long enough she’d eventually pass through but I’m getting bored.... I ended up sending the girls away tonight because I simply could not get my mind off the search and the training. Naruto’s chakra system is shot to hell right now-and the pain has to be unbarrable but... that’s going to be the key for him to figure out this trick. I hope he does figure it out soon though... The slug-queen would kill me if he permanently screws up his system... and I’m not joking by much when I say that.
I’ve thought about leaving a balm or something for him to put on his hands at night to help his system but I don’t know what I would use. That was always Tsunade’s department. Yondaime could tell me-but that’s because the boy was a genius with a memory for details and odd facts, however.... Yondaime is a bit unreachable at the moment. I remember the salve that good old Tsunade gave me to carry around was a yellow cream that smelled of rutabagas and bananas but I have no clue what actually was in it. I never asked her-I didn’t feel like having to have her repair my nose and dental structure doing me the favor of keeping me from screwing my system beyond repair and to think that was when she was with Dan and her emotions were more balanced then. I don’t think I’d live through the experience now.
Oh well... maybe something will turn up-and at least the idiot has taken to sleeping with ice on his hands. If he was smart he would take a day off training to give his system time to recover no matter how amazing your healing skills are, you can’t repair that much damage in a short night but he’s too dedicated for that. Determination isn’t always a blessing....
