IC Post #4 A String of Good Fortune
There's a lot to write about, but I'll try and take it nice and easy.
The big news is that I won the Steel Chef competition. I managed to place in all three categories and took the title of Steel Chef. I wasn't sure how well I would do, but I just wanted to give it my best. The show was on board the Baratie, which was surprising. Turns out Orihime-chan had an ulterior motive. I got to see Zeff again.. it was good to see the old geezer. Being at home left me feeling rejuvenated somehow. I'm not sure how I'll thank Orihime-chan for it, but I'll think of something. Anyway, it was a real honor to be recognized for my cooking. There were so many great cooks.. the competition was greater than any I've ever seen. There were some interesting prizes I won, like a hot spring, of all things. As soon as I'm able to I need to go and see what the place looks like. Maybe it can be opened to the public soon.
The other prize I won was a three day stay in a charming little hotel. I invited Nao-chan to go with me and she said yes! We ate romantic dinners and even enjoyed the hot tub. I got to learn more about Nao-chan too, like what kind of movies she likes. Maybe we can take another trip together soon. With the amount of worrying she does she needs to relax now and again.
Aside from being at that hotel, I've been living in Orihime-chan's apartment lately. The spare room has been comfortable and I'm getting a break from hearing all those guys snoring on the Going Merry. With Ling taking his journey, whatever that is, she's been left all alone. Since she gets lonely in an empty house I agreed to stay when she asked me to. Taking care of her is lots of fun! And she appreciates everything I do so much, unlike those other morons!
On a visit back to the Going Merry to take care of some chores I got a visit from one of the cooking contest competitors, Jam-chan. I didn't get to see much of her cooking during the contest since I was working so hard on my own, but I remember how delicious her cooking appeared and she scored very high with the judges as well. Not to mention she's so cute! She even agreed to go on a date with me! I'm looking forward to it.
But before that I've got a date lined up with Vivi-chan! She has given me the honor of being her first date. I hope she has a good time and enjoys herself, where she doesn't have to think about her work as a princess for awhile. It happened that I was in the Mortal Kombat tournament and lost my very first match to Luffy. While Nao-chan was taking care of me I wasn't able to attend Vivi-chan's birthday party, so I went to visit her the day after and gave her my present. She seemed to really like it. After that I thought, what the hell, and asked her if she'd like to go on a date with me. Now we can enjoy each other's company again with just us two. Mellorine~
