Here's an
interesting website for those of you who are, like me, geography dorks. It's the Degree Confluence Project. The goal of the project is to visit each of the latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world (e.g. 61˚N, 145˚W) and to take pictures at each location. The project organizers have wisely limited their immediate goals to just those integer degree intersections on land or within sight of land. This is an even more arbitrary project than my dorky habit of visiting state high points or dead presidents' homes. Nevertheless, I don't think I'll be participating in the confluence thingie anytime soon because I might find myself in situations like this:
