I have nothing more exciting to talk about than the weather.
I had been patting myself on the back for being in Santa Barbara this summer while the rest of the country fries itself to death, but today it's our turn. Until today, it's probably only been in the lower 80s here, but today it's in the mid-90s with the heat index. Still, at least I'm no longer living in Manteca, where it was 112 yesterday. It is unusually humid in California too thanks to moisture moving in from Mexico. Hopefully there are no elderly people dying somewhere in Santa Barbara. Like Gladys! (Maybe that is how she died.) It's amazing how relevant Gladys is to so many of my entries, yay. Isn't she hot?
